Sai B. Gandham, M.D. has practiced
comprehensive and glaucoma eye care in Albany since 1997,
when he joined the Lion’s Eye Institute and Albany Medical
Center as the director of glaucoma services. Prior to that
he completed ophthalmology residency at Temple University
and both clinical and research glaucoma fellowships at Wills
Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Besides providing patient
care, Dr. Gandham has been active in residency training
(awarded the residency teaching award in 2002) and is
currently the Residency Director for Ophthalmology at Albany
Medical Center.

Brian L. Zerbe, M.D. joined the practice this year,
providing comprehensive eye care. He is a 2000 graduate of
The University of Rochester School of Medicine and
Dentistry. He completed his residency training in
ophthalmology locally, at Albany Medical Center. During
residency Dr. Zerbe was twice awarded the James B. Cetner
Good Physician Award. He also received the Robert C.
Reinecke Research Award and was given the honor of serving
as Chief Resident during his final year of training. He
continues working with residents as Assistant Clinical
Professor in Ophthalmology. Dr. Zerbe has a special interest
in providing eye care overseas, where he has served in
medical centers in both Zambia and The Gambia in the past. |
